We lost another player and are now down to the last two! Sampo Ryanen was eliminated in the 3rd place taking €49,000 for his placing.  From the butoon, Moolhuizen opened to 85,000 and Ryanen answered by moving all in from SB.  Peter’s didn’t want to be in the hand and let the boys do their thing.  Moolhuizen called

Mateusz Moolhuizen (33) opened to 85,000 from the button and Sampo Rynanen (AQ) moved all-in from the small blind, Tobias Peters got out of the way, Moolhuizen quickly called. Flop showed Q6T92, giving Moolhuizen the advantage sending out Ryanen in 3rd place.

We’re now at a heads up and both players are from the Netherlands

We’re back at the Unibet Open Malta 2011 final table and the players are currently on break, feasting themselves on the exquisite bites and snacks prepared for them by the Portomaso Casino chefs.

The 1 hour break will be over in a few minutes and soon enough, the 5 remaing players at the final table will make their way to the final stages of the tournament where the finalist will be crowned champion and will receive the €117,000 cash prize reserved for first place.

The final table started off with 9 players earlier today and we are down to 5 now at the beginning of the next round.  The next level of blinds features 15,000 / 30,000 blinds with 3,000 antes.  Players have an average stack of 879,000.  Here is the chip count of the last 5 players:
