The start of Day 1B is soon underway and a much fuller floor has presented itself on this splendid day in Malta.  There’s around twice as many players who registered for the second starting day compared to Day 1A.
Familiar faces have made their way into the grandmaster hall at the Portomaso complex. Amongst our local players, so far we’ve seen Andrew Cutajar, who won his seat through a satellite tournament held earlier this week.  Players are now getting ready for the 10 levels they are expected to complete till the end of the their starting day.

Watch this space as we bring you more information about the tourney as soon as it kicks off!

Rumour has it that Filippo Candio, one of the most popular names from the Italian poker scene, who made it to international fame with his stellar performance at the WSOP may also be joining us for the event.  In 2010, the iconic Candio was the first Italian player in the history of Italian poker to make it to a final table of the World Series of Poker.
