A few minutes after we finished our interview with Andrew, we saw Jackie Cachia as she stood up at her table. Moments later, she shook a players hand and distanced herself from the table. We caught up with Jackie who told us how her final hand played along.
JC: I started the day with 23,600 chips. In the first hand, I got pocket sixes UTG which I folded…then 20 minutes later I got AK and pushed but the Chip leader on the table called me and he showed AK as well, so we split the pot. There was a small raise before me so we split the antes and blinds and the bet that the other guy put in. Then they moved my table and in the very first hand I got 66. I was down to about 19k and I had to shove, I could wait any longer. Blinds were 1k/2k with running antes of 200. I got 66 and I pushed. And my opponent called with pocket QQ. Nothing on the flop turn or river to help me.
MPE: What were your impressions of the tourney?
JC: It was a great tourney, good fun, nice structure. A massive stack size is much more fun than the usual tourneys. It’s the second time in this hall, and this time it seems even more spectaular than the IPT, especially with the whole movie thing going on, the beautiful women, overall a much nicer spectacle and a fun tourney.
